After 40 years in the business I can't understand why more people don't hire
air compressors - It doesn't suit everyone, but if I was on the other side of the fence then I would definitely consider hiring my compressor.

So how does it work.
The usual minimum hire period is 3 months and the max period is for as long as you wish.
This allows for people who only need air for a shorter period and for people who want want to hire long term.
The charges will be different - obviously long term hire is cheaper.
If you want to rent for a really short period - a week to a month - this may be possible but there is no doubt it will be expensive - but it may be an expense you need to pay.
As an example if you want 120cfm compressor for 2 weeks and you are 150 miles away and you want it NOW thats a bad situation to be in and what you are asking for may involve several people and vehicles to complete the task straight away - so be prepared it wont be a cheap exercise.
The type and age of machine on hire will affect the charges - a new full feature latest model, loaded with extras will be more than a used basic machine - It depends what your application needs.
We have customers who have been on hire for years and would never go back - they say one payment a month is the answer - no service or repair bills and the machine is changed for new every 3 years or so.
How much does it cost
As we stated above there are many variables.
We have machines available from 4kw up to 50kw in the hire fleet.
But if you want say a compressor only - of say 7kw - to run up to 60 hrs a week - On a 12 month agreement - it goes like this.
New 7kw Vane or Screw £ 395 + vat per Month
Used Modern 7Kw Vane or Screw £ 315 + vat per Month
Older 7Kw Vane or Screw ( Max 1000hrs pa ) £ 195 + vat per Month
New or nearly new 7kw with dryer, filters and tank £ 495 + vat Per Month
Short term hire would be as above + 50%
Very short term would be poa only

On Going Costs - Inflation
The monthly payment is fixed for the length of the agreement.
If you renew agreement on the same machine - payment will remain the same - we have customers who have kept the same machine for several years and are still on the same rate as when they started - Inflation proof - In fact factoring in inflation they are actually paying less in real terms.
Existing Hire Customers who renew contracts but want a New machine of the same size or larger will get a considerable discount over the current rate to new customers at that time - should keep your accountant happy.
Accountants like hire - its very cost effective - with no nasty surprises.
