The big question is - how often should you have your air compressor serviced?
Well there are lots of variables to consider - what type of compressor
- what size - how many hours does it run - what are your requirements from
it?
My basic advice is as follows - For a Hydrovane or Screw air compressor,
most manufacturers recommend 2000hrs or annual - That is for a new or as new
air compressor. An older or less serviced machine would in my opinion struggle with 2000hr intervals - and a year is a long time.
99% of Compressorman's machines are serviced every 1000hrs or 6 monthly - even from new - regardless of manufacturers 2000hr/4000hr claims. This way you get as near to 100% reliability as you can get and it is proven that machines which are looked after in this way last longer and are much less troublesome.
No one needs an air compressor
which is unreliable and troublesome - especially Compressorman - so follow our advice and things can only get better.

These includes oil and filter changes and and all adjustments inc parts + labour and checks as listed by the manufacturer + a few of my own.
A word on pricing and costs, it is not possible to use original parts and spend the time to do the job properly and conscientiously and charge less it is possible to just do what it wants and a quick oil and filter change using cheap parts and hope it will be ok and charge less or even the same we dont do
that.
We will never compromise on parts or labour it is a false economy the machine will fail. We do it properly and by the book and charge fairly every time.

We offer a comprehensive but flexible contract which we can adjust to suit any machine anywhere in the UK.
The furthest UK based compressor which we actually work on is in The Outer Hebrides and so we are not afraid to travel - Glasgow is another hotspot for us - in London and the M25 we have many customers, but our base is in the Midlands - ready to travel anywhere.
Our contracts are written in plain English and are renewable on a yearly basis without excessive commitment to you.
Prices are very good and make good sense.

I am happy to inspect your whole compressed air requirement and produce a detailed plan which will include your projected costings for set work over the following 12 months.
This will help you to budget for maintenance cost and you can pay monthly if you wish.
Stand-by air compressors - without doubt the best decision you could ever make. If you use compressed air as part of your product or process then a stand-by unit is a must.
Consider this if for whatever reason your compressor stopped or malfunctioned, you might know the best compressor engineer in the world, is he busy, will he answer his phone, can he come now, where is he, how long will it take him to get to you, how long will it take to sort the problem, has he got the right spares with him, can he get the right spares now What a drama. The answer press the start button on your stand-by compressor and the heat is off. Yes you still have to sort the problem with your old unit but you are back in business and the emergency has
passed.
We have various stand-by compressors for hire from as little as £50pcm for the smallest to only £150pcm for our largest unit. If you prefer we also have units you could buy outright.
