The whole idea of hire is that you have all advantages of the compressed Air System and none of the problems, all repair costs and inspection costs are with the provider, no matter how costly, you just pay the monthly payment.

Our Hire Fleet is constantly expanding and has a range of machines from small 240 volt compressors up to 75kw Industrial Compressors, all ready to be installed. We have machines available from 4kw up to 50kw in the hire

At Compressorman we understand that businesses may need to hire for short periods, due to short term increased air needs or whilst equipment is repaired. Compressorman has a range of machines available for hire by the month. The customer will be responsible for carriage both ways plus the hire, all payments are in advance. The customer can arrange for an electrician to connect and disconnect the machine and this is the cheapest way forward. If required we can do it all at extra cost

Hiring a Machine

The usual minimum hire period is 3 months and the maximum period is for as long as you wish. The charges will be different - obviously long term hire is cheaper.

If you want to rent for a really short period - a week to a month - this may be possible but there is no doubt it will be expensive.

The type and age of machine on hire will affect the charges, a new full feature latest model, loaded with extras will be more than a used basic machine. The price will depend what your application needs.

We have customers who have been on hire for years and would never go back, they say one payment a month is the answer, no service or repair bills and the machine is changed for new every 3 years or so.

How much does it cost?

With us you will be told exactly what it will cost and it doesn't vary from that. The price will depend upon the options chosen. As stated above, there are many variables.

A typical hire cost
A compressor 7kw, to run up to 60 hrs a week, on a 12 month agreement
New 7kw Vane or Screw £ 495 + vat per Month
New or nearly new 7kw with dryer, filters and tank £ 595 + vat per Month
Short term hire would be as above + 50%
Very short term would be price on application only

What are the advantages of hire over buying?

The monthly payment is fixed for the length of the agreement.

If you renew your agreement on the same machine - the payment will remain the same - we have customers who have kept the same machine for several years and are still on the same rate as when they started - inflation proof - in fact factoring in inflation they are paying less in real terms.

Existing Hire Customers who renew contracts but want a New machine of the same size or larger will get a considerable discount over the current rate to new customers at that time - that should keep your accountant happy.

Accountants like hire - it's very cost effective - with no nasty surprises.
